This was Mrs. Sparkman's Second grade class. Joey
This photo was provided by Wilder Hawkins.
This picture was taken around August of 1967 while
serving with
the United States Marine Corp on Operation Cumberland in the Ashau Valley.
The vehicle I'm sitting on was referred to as a "mule" as it was a workhorse
for running ammo or anything else through the bushes.

I went aboard this ship to work for RCA International Service Corp. at Cape
Kennedy around 1969 after a four year tour in the U.S. Navy.
